Sony had earlier confirmed that it will refresh the catalog in the middle of every month and kicks off July with 15 new games coming to the Extra tier. This includes Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, Marvel’s Avengers, Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection, and the highly anticipated Stray. The full sizes of these games are now confirmed, and PlayStation Plus subscribers may have to clear some storage space to play the heavy hitters.

PlayStation Game Size on Twitter reveals the sizes of the titles coming to the games catalog available to PlayStation Plus Extra members. It confirms that the PS5 version of Stray will take 7.514 GB of space as opposed to 13.352 GB on PS4. The critically acclaimed Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade needs 81.339 GB on PS5, with an additional 8.988 GB for the Intermission DLC, while Marvel’s Avengers requires 107.286 GB on PS5. Curiously, the PS4 version of games requires more space in most cases, except for Marvel’s Avengers where the PS5 edition takes up almost 11 GB more.
PlayStation Plus Extra members can play a collection of Assassin’s Creed games that join the service as a part of Ubisoft+ Classics. This is a new subscription service that offers older Ubisoft games at no extra and is included in the Extra and Premium tiers of PS Plus. The Twitter post mentions that Assassin’s Creed Unity needs 47.472 GB of space, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag takes up 22.946 GB, and Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection requires 37.986 GB. The other two games are much smaller, as Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry and Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered both need less than 10 GB of storage space.
Stray is getting rave reviews and it’s probably the highlight of the first post-launch refresh of PlayStation Plus. It launches as a day one PS Plus Extra game, and subscribers may see more titles join the service on release day in the future. Although, fans should not expect the likes of God of War Ragnarok or Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 as Sony had confirmed that it will not launch AAA first-party games on PS Plus on day one.
