Those are very impressive specs. Most 120Hz phones on the market, such as the Razer Phone 2, are only 2K resolution – though Samsung’s new S20 range are all 120Hz and 3K, so Oppo is matching the market leader here.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the Find X2’s display will look as good as the S20. It’ll likely be AMOLED, but Samsung has mastered the calibration of its display panels for contrast and brightness. Hopefully Oppo can match the quality.
Although it has been long established as a market leader in China, Oppo has come an awful long way in the Western market since the Find X in July 2018 with an official UK and European presence and truly outstanding Reno series phones at different price points.
When we reviewed the Find X we praised its innovative design but criticised the messy software. The company has drastically improved this with Color OS 6 and now 7, and the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom remains one of the finest affordable flagships you can buy.
With such high specs on the Find X2’s display, we reckon this will be the phone the Find X should have been.
